The longer you've been reading my blog, the more likely it is you will know about my long term love for all things nails. One of my favourite ever brands is Models Own; nothing brings me as much joy as going to my local bottle shop and standing in awe of all the colours available. I have played around a little with the existing range of makeup and was already impressed with the quality of the products. In particular, the neutral eyeshadow palettes available impressed me as they had such a great amount of pigmentation and were so cheap for the quality. A few months ago, a press release landed in my inbox and I was overjoyed. Models Own was finally going to release more into their makeup range and really bolster it up. The moment has arrived and been everything I expected.

Everyone has their own requirements when it comes to mascara- for me it is finding that mascara that gives me the right amount of definition and a whole load of volume. I am not going to lie, a part of me is guilty in liking the spider effect in moderation. One of my most read posts is my Top Five Drugstore Mascaras post which I did when I first started this blog of mine. Since then, a tonne of new mascaras have hit the drugstore and the post is pretty out of date (I think anyway!) so I thought I would bring you a round up for five new drugstore mascaras, from some of my favourite affordable brands, which I have been trying recently.

I like to think that, even if you haven't learnt much about me over the last few years, you've come to know that theBalm is probably one of my favourite brands ever. I just think it encapsulates so much; quirky packaging, excellently pigmented products, affordability, no testing on animals and, when I heard the founder speak at event last year, I realised it has a real women empowering vibe to it. Because of all of these, it should come as no surprise to you that this post is basically going to be a full on raving about two new eye product launches from theBalm. It really is a case of quality meeting affordability, in my eyes, as the products are very good alternatives for much more expensive things on the market. Get ready for some swoon-worthy product pictures tempting and enabling you.

I hate to say it, but I feel like I've officially reached that stage in my life where an eye cream is an absolute essential. I really think the age factor has helped give me some serious eye area issues; as it has done this, I've obviously naturally used it as an excuse to try out lots of eye creams. I've always found it hard to find the right one; contending with dehydration lines, lack of sleep, hereditary circles which make me look like I've been punched and just general rubbishness is quite a lot for most eye creams. Since February, I've used a number of eye creams- some which are new to my stash, some which are new to the market and some which have really just taken me by storm. Brace yourself for a long post giving you the low down.

Since my holiday to Cuba, I've been a woman on a mission. A mission to keep that sun kissed glow I worked so hard to get while on holiday; I say this on a day where it snowed in London in April. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't partial to a good old bronze even when I haven't been on holiday. On a daily basis, I don't tend to do any type of contouring but love warming up my complexion and adding some highlight. Right now, I've been using a number of different products to help me keep that healthy glow- even if it is just to remind myself of one of the best holidays in my life.
